WOYWW double distraction
Once again, I've been distracted, not once, but twice. If you were here last week you'll know I was trying to make a 21st card, but it has morphed into a canvas, well, the idea has, anyhow. Consequently, neither is finished, and now there is a deadline. So, whilst thinking about the card morphing into a canvas, and gathering all the requisite supplies, I was once more distracted with the idea of making backgrounds. What for? Good question. I'd better think of something to justify my short attention span. Maybe I could ... umm, oh well, just show you my desk. That's what you came here for, didn't you?

I love those backgrounds. And I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that gets easily distracted -- or goes off track!

hello. thanks for loving the painting on my workdesk. i also get distracted at times, hopping from one project to another. i treated it as a negative before, but now i regard it as a trigger to get the creative flow going. all i need do is to put all these projects close by so i could continue to work on them til they get done.:) #29 alpha shanahan
ReplyDeleteWhat caught my attention was the dress form. I'm looking for a one like that for my grandmother's invitation for her 80th birthday. She's a dressmaker. Love how you incorporated that lace..

Your backgrounds are spectacular, they could be framed as stand alone art.
ReplyDeleteI think your desk looks so creative and bustling.
ReplyDeleteI start lots of things too...I tell myself that is OK as long as I eventually finish most of them!!! LOL
The backgrounds look fab.

ReplyDeleteLove how your card idea has morphed into a canvas - you do them so well! Backgrounds are good as it saves time later on when you want to create...... Happy WOYWW, Anne x #41
ReplyDeleteI quite often sit and make lots of backgrounds too - always come in useful when you need something in a hurry! Yours are lovely. Thanks for sharing - Sunshine Girl no. 57
ReplyDeleteI think you have really enjoyed those backgrounds. Short attention span is the key to creating art. One thing always leads on to something greater.
ReplyDeleteLove the card that morphed into a canvas.

ReplyDeleteLove a wanderer! Happens all the time here - especially while I'm still opening boxes from our move! Nothing wrong with preparing a few backgrounds either- although mine are usually in one of my journals! Chris109
ReplyDeleteLove your backgrounds! I seemed to have spaced out this week too. I think I watched more Telly/TV than anything!!!!!! And the scissors were just in my hand...Tamika #124

I think the backgrounds are great... and hopping from project to project can be a good thing I think - the ones you've put to one side keep marinading, and then burst back into life when you return! Belated happy WOYWW!

I didn't use to have such a short attention span but now I do. Do you have any reason why? Wait? What were we talking about? Oh! Your desk-nice and busy. Canvas-too ambitious for me! Backgrounds-I'll just buy mine but I do know how you can get lost in making them for hours and hours until a shiny thing comes along and distracts you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to visit and leaving your condolences about Grandpa Kitty.
