At least it brings lots of interesting stuff to look at, via WOYWW, compliments of Julia.
I needed a few birthday cards, in a hurry, so I went to the "Almost Finished Card Box" which, as the name suggests, contains many almost finished cards. They just needed a "Happy Birthday" and some extra bling. You can't have too much bling, can you? Thought I would use my under utilised Dymo labeller. Look OK, don't they? (The Dymo labels, that is.)
And, if you've been here previously, you know I have a habit of leaving you with nearly finished projects (not unlike the cards in the box, as mentioned above). Well, here's one from a few weeks ago, which is 95% finished, and has been given away. The last 5% requires an up to date photo from the birthday girl, which I will frame and add to the canvas, somewhere in the middle.
Hmm, it really does look nicer, IRL, than this photo shows. You'll just have to take my word for that.
Lovely cards (really like the kid images.... stamps or photos?) and it is great to see the finished 21 card. I am in the middle of emptying the kitchen. After all this time it is finally happening. I don't think I will get a lot of crafting done this week! Hopefully by next week I can post a pic of the kitchen.

Stunning cards! I have a similar thing too..a drawer full of very basic card toppers that I can add to a blank card with a few extra embellishments whenever I need a card. Happy WOYWW! xxx Laura #51
ReplyDeleteI do take your word..the canvas looks pretty lovely from here I can assure you! 'Almost finished' cards..wow, I never knew of such a thing, how interesting..the nearest I get to that is 'not started'!! I guess you mean that they need a relevant greeting or embellishment to make them appropriate to recipient. What a great idea. See, WOYWW is just filled with genius ideas.
ReplyDeleteMany a true word about the light in our two hemispheres, I would give a bit to be knocking about in Sydney again right now, I must say!
I would never have thought of using a label machine in that way but those cards look just perfect with the sentiments done that way. Happy WOYWW, hugs Buttons #77
ReplyDeletecertainly getting on with your project, I just scrolled back to see! I haven't a lable machine but do have a font that matches it and it works very well!

ReplyDeleteLove your cards, they are just beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteyou have an 'almost finished' box - I'm impressed. It's a good idea, just not sure I could leave a card alone until I had it completely finished. Lovely cards and it is my experience that all the lovely things we make look better in real life :) Hope you had a great WOYWW. Elizabeth x #112
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, did you cut that chandelier out? That is like... too painstaking (and possibly painful). The cards look good. I have used up most of my stash of not done cards. EEK! It always feels good to get them out and finished. And yes, the Dymo label looks just fine.
ReplyDeleteoh i love that, im really into dressforms at the mo lol, thanks for the snoop

I have a box like yours, only it contains stamped images, some coloured, and embellies usually left over from other projects. It is a wonderful box in which to rummage through and make a card in minutes!
