Maybe you had better see yesterday's desk first ...
I could have said it was today's desk, but here is the real desk of today (Wednesday) ...
I love those H2Os, but I hate that you need to leave the lids off until they dry. (If you've ever put them back on wet, you will know why). And I had to get them out (again) to tweak the colours, because I was not happy til they were the exact shades I was after. See that piece of paper in the top left? Well, that was one of those special one-off pieces. You know, too good to actually use! I figured it was time to use it :)
You'd better see what all the fuss was about ...
I'll catch up with you via Julia's Stamping Ground. That's where the action is.
It happens, always when we are busy doing other stuff we get inspired to go and create

Glad you got the inspiration in the end, great card!! Your desk looks really busy.. I can't remember the last time I used my Twinkling H2O's. am wondering if I put them away wet or dry..(don't think I'd have got them very wet anyway...) Helen 8
ReplyDeleteThis card turned out really well after your shaky start didn't it. Love the colour combination.

Oh, I can procrastinate until the cows come home too! Especially if it's something I know I should be doing..... But your card is really gorgeous, so the wait was worthwhile!!

Oh I recognise the fiddle! Doesn't it take a lot of time! The card is fab, even if it did take your best piece of paitned paper and half a lifetime - worth it! Like those edge punches too, I don't think to use mine like that. Hmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! Well worth the fiddle I should say! Love the colors. And the border punches.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week,

Ooh that's a gorgeous card and I love the tree die. It was well worth the fiddle! Hope you have a great week,

ahh, Ros, I so know what you mean about a lot of stash out.
ReplyDeletea lot of faffing around for ages ... here there and wherever!
...and at long last you just might make something!!
well your attempt was truly worth it all, a truly lovely card .. great combinations! and recognise the wee tree there!
Love the end result, RosA. Oh how I can identify with the other pictures - but I'm never brave enough to admit all the chaos I go through to achieve the end result! Well done you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting the new site. It generally seems to be agreed it is much better to read.
Take care. God bless.

All those lovely die cuts! What a great card. I finally decided to part with my H2Os because I so rarely use them and could the space for other stuff. But I know all about leaving them open (and not losing the lid in the meantime). You may not have had a creative bolt of lightning but lots of dribs and drabs of creativity got the job done! BTW, whenever they do a reorganization at hubby's workplace he calls it rearranged the desk chairs. Some invariably fall overboard. As long as his doesn't it's all good! Judy #48
ReplyDeleteHi Rosa, nice card. Must get my H20s out again soon, thanks for reminding me. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 36
ReplyDeleteHi Ros...happy WOYWW. I had a bit of one of those days too with trying to sort my patchwork cards...but must say your Congrats card is really lovely - great dies and pretty colours.
