WOYWW Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas blogland visitors

You might recall, how last week saw a vast improvement in "desk land"
and I am happy to report things have not deteriorated ... yet.

A miscellaneous assortment of handmade cards,
some left over from last year and even a few from the year before!
See the little owls ... another gorgeous new pair of earrings, for craft purposes.
(I don't actually wear earrings.)
And there's a wrapped pressie (two books) for a friend,
(and by the time you read this she will have it.)

So, everything's under control (deskwise), but if we pan around a bit ...

Oh dear, what happened to that Christmas cake I made weeks ago?
Well, er, it sort of got eaten ... and now there is only a few slices left,
a very meagre offering for Christmas Day,
so, No.2 cake must be made with all haste!
The fruit is soaking ... one day will have to be enough!

Must dash. If you have stumbled across here by some
freak accident of the www, do drop over and visit
the mastermind behind WOYWW.

Merry Christmas Julia and fellow WOYWWers!

I have enjoyed visiting your desks this year
and I thank you very much for your
visits here and your kind comments too.

  7. Yaay, #2. Well done. Love the christmas cards you are making. Looks like you have to make several styles rather than mass producing one. I know I always get bored after making several of one style. It's probably why it takes us so long.LOL Must of been a good cake, we are still munching our way through one I made while home on carer leave! My cooking find for 2011 was this quick recipe - melt white chocolate spread on baking sheet sprinkle with cranberries and pistacho. Pop in the fridge and break into pieces when cold..... yummy white christmas! Took all of 10 minutes to make. Have a lovely christmas.

  24. Hi Ros, lovely cards and how nice to have some made in previous years to lighten the load this year. As for the cake, you need Kirstie Allsop, of TV Location, Location fame. She has an excellent recipe for a quick and easy Christmas cake - here's the link just in case:

Though it does sound as though your cake recipe is a winner. Merry Christmas. Elizabeeth x #46

  26. I like your style - make a Christmas cake and eat it before the big day so you have to make another one. Brilliant! The sort of thing I do.
Lovely cards for us to see so all that is left is for me to say Happy Christmas to you and yours. Hugs, neet #4 xx
