Forgive me for combining two subjects, but they are both connected, naturally :)
First of all, today is the day for snooping admiring other desks and workspaces.
Pop over there for all the details. You won't be disappointed.
(Some previous posts are about this too, if you are interested.)
On the left is a piece of hessian-like fabric which has a background layer of compound filler (Spakfilla, in this part of the world), with some Lumiere paints randomly applied.
The tags have a masking tape background with some distress inks and stamping.
Neither is finished, but hopefully will be soon.
Catch you on a desk nearby.
Your hessian fabric reminds me of burlap. It is beautiful. I hope to see where you are going with it, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW from #1.
Your tags are stunning. I hope you post pics when they are finished. #2
ReplyDeleteJust read your question about the Gelli plate. For three years I asked EVERYONE for a gelli. Back then, all they had were the 6 X 6 ones. But no one took me seriously, so for Christmas, Bleubeard bought me one. I still haven't opened it because it's so cold in my craft room.
ReplyDeleteah at least you are crafting Ros, have yet to do it myself!!
ReplyDelete...not done for several weeks now but list is growing, so needs must..
I love the tags and dies too, what fun! Shaz in oz.x #7
I too have been playing with Hessian. I love that leaf die. So delicate. #25
ReplyDeleteHessian is the big thing right now - I should get some!your desk, and CJS looks very interesting (I did it last year but haven't signed up this time). happy WOYWW Helen 23
ReplyDeleteHessian. Spakfilla. My goodness, you're going all multi media too! I wonder if it'll ever get to me?!! I love th tags, the jump start idea sounds good, might have to force time to look at that. Love the lumiere paints, and isn't nice when you have something 'original' that you're still using happily and that does such a great job!
ReplyDeleteIsn't creative jump start fun? I'm loving it. Thanks for sharing your tags.

Haven't joined in Jumpstart this year as it's taken me all my time to get motivated for stamping. Back on the right road now and rags are some of my favourites to work on. Love what you are doing and the leaves are beautiful.
