Goodbye CJS2014

OK, I think this will be my last project for CJS.

Again, it is using squashed bubble wrap as the background behind the vintage photo.

Other stuff: metal embellishments by Prima (Finnabair).

Something else created for Creative Jump Start 2014 ...
 

This page was started at the very beginning of CJS and finished at the very end!

Lots of ordinary stuff used to make the background, including, plastic grippy mat, bottle tops, old credit card, sink strainer.

Bubble wrap recycled

Again, coming to you, via inspiration from Nathalie's CJS2014 another simple technique using bubble wrap, and there's plenty of that around here!

Creative Jumpstart continues

with more interesting techniques, one of which involved re-purposing a (plastic) citrus juicer, which had slotted holes in it. (Actually, I think it might have been the juicer from a food processor, because of the holes in it.)  Anyway, I didn't have one, so I looked for another household item which might fit the bill, and look ...

an old fashioned sink strainer has holes! I can spray something through this!

And then use those bottle caps and plastic gear (from roller tape) to print with!

Here's another little something I made after some inspiration from

I've used the packaging tape transfer method (and some more masking tape background).

 

 

Other stuff used: stamps, distress inks, lace, Prima flower, other flowers, gel sticker, German scrap, "flower jewels", die cut scraps.

to jump in, start something

and ... finish it!

Here's something I started a few days ago ...

The background is a sort of bleached hessian with a layer of "jointing compound".
(The hessian and the Spakfilla were both stashed in my laundry.)
Other stuff: Lumieres, twinkling H2Os, die cuts, a wine bottle cap
and a button (from the Gigantic Button Collection).

Creative Jump Start 2014 tag No.1 finished

Another instalment of  my Creative Jump Start 2014 projects.
 I have managed to narrow down too many ideas, possibilities and directions and actually finished one of those tags (see below) featuring the masking tape background.

  The embellishments were all leftovers from other projects.

 

WOYWW and CJS2014

Forgive me for combining two subjects, but they are both connected, naturally :)

First of all, today is the day for snooping admiring other desks and workspaces.

On the left is a piece of hessian-like fabric which has a background layer of compound filler (Spakfilla, in this part of the world), with some Lumiere paints randomly applied.

The tags have a masking tape background with some distress inks and stamping.

Neither is finished, but hopefully will be soon.

WOYWW - it's a "Creative Jumpstart"

Two for one day ... first of all it's Wednesday and you know what that means. It's time for joining up with Julia at the Stamping Ground as we have a peek at lots of creative spaces, all around the world. What fun! And because I am joining in with Creative Jump Start 2014 (brought to you by Nathalie Kalbach - see link on side bar),
you get even more today ... well, sort of ... 

actually what you get is more (creative) action and less (creative) procrastination.

Now, a close up of that canvas. I'm not sure whether it is "finished" yet.
I've used some everyday, household items including a wine bottle cap,
a plastic paper clip and plastic tags from bread packages. (And some chipboard scraps which anyone else really would have thrown out.)
The colouring is mainly polished pigments and twinkling H2Os.
 

It wasn't finished ...

to my satisfaction.  But it is now ...

The main point of this exercise was to use ordinary household objects for the background,
which I did. They included, an old credit card, a scrap of grippy rubber, sequin waste, cosmetic sponges and a piece of Lego.

I'm playing along with "Creative Jump Start 2014" which is brought to you

by the talented Nathalie Kalbach and many other creative persons.

The first inspiration from CJS involved using household stuff to make a background ... here's how it went ...

 

Here's the almost finished page which still needs some minor fixes ...
which I'm working on ... right now.

 

 

 

And, after some inspiration from Finnabair let's use up some more household junk ...

which includes a wine bottle cap, plastic bread wrapper clips, a plastic paper clip,
 leftover chipboard scraps, etc. I'll show you the finished piece ... soon.

Workshop with Nathalie Kalbach

Here's a canvas I made today at a workshop with Nat Kalbach.

It was a lot of fun with Nat sharing some great techniques and using yummy Tattered Angels products. It's not quite finished ... needs a bit more embellishment and a photo or picture of some sort in that blank  space you can see.

 (Any ideas?)
