WOYWW have art will travel

I'm gathering "essential" supplies to take away for our skiing week. Skis, boots and appropriate clothing are all sorted out. That's the easy part!  But, in case there is any spare time, then one simply must have a selection of "art" materials :)

Most of what you can see is to be included with these essential supplies. One stencil, some stamped images, new tree stamps (am going to give that Northern Lights technique another go), ink pads secured with elastic bands (because you can't be too careful with ink pads, can you?). Now, will I need that whole pile of cards and envelopes (top right hand)? Perhaps not. But wait, there's plenty more earmarked to go, it just hasn't made it to the sorting area :)

I finished that snow themed birthday card from last week ...

This is my desk. Maybe I can visit your desk? For all the "desk visiting" details visit Julia.

  3. I took stuff with me once and was amazed at how light I could travel. I managed quite well with what I took, though did do some shopping on my way too which helped!#27

  4. Hi Rosa. Have a wonderful time away - can't imagine anyone skiing at the moment - it is so very warm here. What a lovely idea - a snow themed birthday card. I suppose that, as Christmas and snow go together in our minds here we don't think to use it for anything else... I, too, always take an essentials craft kit when going away. As we always travel by car, well, you can imagine how large an "essentials" kit is!!!
    Have a great time.
    God bless.

  5. Looks like a lot of fun is going with you! I haven't tried to take my art materials on a trip yet. I keep thinking I should but I never feel quite organized enough to gather supplies! Have a fun week! Happy WOYWW! Angie #28

  7. Hi Rosa, it makes me happy to hear you are making your pack-up ready for the ski trip.
The first time I didn't get round to sorting mine it snowed so hard we were unable to ski for two days and well... you can imagine.
I really hope you have a great trip, my little legs are twiching with excitement but we have a while to go yet before it will be our turn.
Have a wonderful holiday and happy crafting, Angela x #42

  9. It seems so weird to think of you going on a ski trip when it's so hot here.

    Looks like you're nicely organised.

i'll be interested to see if you actually make anything. :-) Won't you be having too much fun in the snow?

    Have a fantastic trip.

  10. Wow # 1 well done. You were probably so busy packing and didn't even plan to try for #1. I always take a craft kit or sketch kit where ever I go. You always need down time and craft is the only way I really unwind. Love you snow themed birthday card and I hope you get a lot of skiing in over your holiday. I am setting the 13/8 aside for lunch let me know if that suits you when your back from hols. Enjoy.

  16. Ros,

Congrats on being No 1 this week and what a beautiful card you have created. I so envy you off to the snow to have a ski, something that I am not allowed to do anymore for heath reasons.

    Have fun

  18. Squee! Love the snow themed birthday card. It's cool! (sorry) It is so hard to decide what to take with you when you travel. No matter what you'll have something that you realize was a waste of space and something you really wish you had. Enjoy your travels and have fun with what you brought and just never mind about the stuff you didn't! Judy #72

  20. Have a lovely trip away Rosa. I took my knitting on our recent holiday but the trouble is, it's getting so big that it takes up too much room! I need to get into mobile art mode and have stuff with me to do in the car if I'm waiting for my hubby, etc. I love your snow themed card - it's beautiful.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  21. Thanks for your return visit, Rosa, and for such an encouraging comment! I think things will start to settle down again from now on (hopefully) and I might get back in my ARTHaven again! Today I haven't done anything except wash my hair and do a bit of knitting as I've been so tired all day.
