WOYWW there's snow in them there hills ...

or so the saying goes. Winter here, and it's time to make a "winter themed" birthday card for a good friend.  I tidied rearranged all those pen holders on their swivelling base and collected about 20 or so biros! Yes, biros, ordinary biros! Not particularly useful for arty purposes - they weren't even felt tip pens. (Although, there's plenty of those too.)

Anyway, this is what you came to see, didn't you ...

You can see ... card in making, tissues handy for inconvenient cold, tag from Debbie (see below) and newly broken handle punch. I loved this punch and the cassettes are useless without the handle which I'm sure is long since obsolete :( :( :(

And even though I was nowhere near the WOYWW crop, in fact, I was thousands of miles away, and likely to remain so, Debbie at Tattered Rocks sent me this lovely tag which she made ...
Don't you wish you were at the WOYWW crop :)

Here's where you'll get the full story on this desk business.

  6. Good morning, I'm doing a quick whizz round all my favourite blogs before I start my mammoth task of clearning some of my sewing mountain today.
Such a lovely card but it seems so strange to see snowflakes while we are having hot sunny days.

  9. I will ask on a couple of the Facebook groups I'm in if anyone wants to sell or gift their cassette punch handle, there must be some out there!
Biros grow in my pots too - I guess when anyone thinks to actually put something away, my desk is the place they consider for pens and paper....or how come it's so untidy all the time!!

  10. Gorgeous tag and I am sorry to hear about the handle punch. What about posting a question on the boomerang forum... you never know. I went to the craft fair today picked up supplies but really showed restraint!!! Check out Annabelle Joseph she does the most amazing biro drawings... yep biro is her medium. I will email you about a dates for lunch:)

  12. Loving the tag, I think the effect of embossing on acetate works really well. I don't know how we manage to collect so many pens, often when I get round to using them they don't work Lol!
Anyway, have a lovely week and happy crafting, Angela x #41

  18. Wow that tag is awesome and so beautiful. I think most of us wanted to be at the crop but couldn't. I have one of those punch sets and have had it for at least 12 years that I can remember, I do believe you can still get them as there is a later version available that is the same, if that makes sense.

    Happy WOYWW
