WOYWW ... a canvas, or two, or three

Well, it's Wednesday again! And you know what that means, don't you? Time for a nosey around at all those desks and workspaces, near and far, messy and tidy. And this fun Wednesday distraction comes to you from the desk of Julia. Thanks Julia!

As you can see, I'm playing at mixed media canvasses. Maybe the Autumn one is nearly finished, other than swapping out that bright red flower in the centre of all the others. I think it's a jarring note, don't you? The green one on the left is sitting on top of at least one other. Hmm, I'd better look ... actually there might be another one under that, but I'm trying to just finish one without being distracted by ideas for the others. A lost cause, I'm afraid!

I missed you last week because I was having lunch with my friend Sandra de and here are some lovely things she brought me ...

That Lynne Perrella stamp on the tags really took my fancy and I couldn't rest til I tracked some down ... the delivery man has just arrived with them!

Hope to catch you soon!
I often have limited internet on Thursdays, so I may not catch you til Friday :)

  4. The canvases are amazing. But looking at them I am wondering if you are using one designed to be shadow box-like or if you are using the back of a canvas? I've not seen these. The autumn is my favorite and yes the red flower does stick out some. Glad I stopped by today. Diane #26

  5. Funny, you are using the back of the canvas. It is quite clever, so you have a built in frame!
    The Perrella stamps are gorgeous!

  9. I like the Lperella stamps very much, but already know that I'll be late to that party too! Love your autumnal makes, and to be honest, hadn't noticed the offending dark flower till you pointed it out....not offending really, just a bit colour heavy by comparison. But nature does that....
Jealous that you and Sandra De can get together...

  10. It's a lovely colour palette and I agree the red one seems a little out of place. My eye was drawn straight to it! Gorgeous canvases. Thanks for stopping by today.

  18. I love your canvas and didn't think anything of the darker flower until you mentioned it. Love it just the way it is. That stamp sure is impressive, I can see why you wanted it. Great that you got to meet up with Sandra De.
    Have a great week.

  20. Hi Rosa. I really like that autumn canvas - and would definitely have used that red flower, but would probably have put it into the bottom right corner and worked out from there - but then, that's just awkward me! Looking at all the comments you have had, it's rather fun to see how we would all have interpreted it so differently.
Have to say I really like the thank you cards - my sort of style - clear and simple.
Thanks for visiting. Those stamps are a bit yummy aren't they - I have really had fun this week with them all!!!
    Take care. God bless.

  22. Love that LP image myself - might have to search for it myself.
    Your canvasses are looking good.
The Alice pictures? I bought them online from Thailand. They come printed on actual book pages. Now I need to find four inexpensive frames for them.
