WOYWW inky alcohol

or alcoholic ink, take your pick ...

I went to find my alcohol inks this morning. I had in mind one particular colour.
When it wasn't in the first box, surprise, surprise ...  I found another box, which I have no recollection of, none whatsoever!  So, it appears I have twice as many alcohol inks as I thought I had!  Almost as good as new stash, maybe even better, because I must have paid for them ages ago :) !

Speaking of new stuff. Which we often do. Here's some more ...

Now, the only arty/crafty shop nearby also happens to be across the road from the GP (doctor).  So, naturally, I can't pass by without at least having a little look now, can I? And they were having one of their Sale days ... when everything that is already on sale is half price again. That's my kind of sale :)  Here's the maths for those who like numbers: RRP equals approx. $80, my sale price, approx. $19.

Why I am showing you one messy workspace, and new stash as well?
Julia at the Stamping Ground will be happy to give you all the details.

  1. Please help me out, what is GP? I think it is great having an art store nearby, esp. one, that has so great bargains! I have to order everything online. But maybe it is better for me not having such a store so close...

    Take care. God bless.

And that sale.... yes, that is quite a bargain! A shop like that would make me a hypochondriac! I'd go to the GP every week!

  9. It's like Christmas all over again when you find things you'd forgotten you had. How great to get those things in such a good sale. Having a shop like that is far better medicine than and GP could give you :)

  10. I've been wondering when I end up buing doubles of something... If its something usable like inks or paints, there would be no problem, but if I end up buying doubles of stamps or something, I will be :( have fun playing with all your "new" and new stash!

  11. At least your alcoholic ink story had a happy ending. I found mine face down in a gutter, dead drunk... actually just dead. The metallic inks got all wonky and of course I needed some right now and the local place doesn't sell it. Anyway, you new stash looks delightful and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it. 20. Hi Ros, always great to get new stash, and to find stuff you've forgotten about. Really exciting when that happens. Love the H2O's you've treated yourself to. How handy, opposite the Docs! I did get an ATc from you at the crop, thanks, it's in the #311 post, with all the ones I came back from the crop with. I should really have put them all together in one post, I may actually do that- I need to post more often! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #9 xx

  21. !!!!! I had to laugh, I had the same thing happen to me while looking for embossing powder colors, I find all these inks and glitter put away. I am saying WOW I don't remember these. but No embossing powders to be found except clear. DA...don't know if I ever had any...just kept getting the glitter... Love those glam colors too. Buying and Using are 2 DIFFERENT things and I talk to myself on if you buy you have to use it. Have a fun WOYWW. #39

  22. Oh man, that is a great find in your stash as well as a great sale. I've experimented with soaking nearly dried out Sharpies in alcohol and using that as alcohol inks. It's not too bad and some interesting colours. Just wish it were easy to get rubbing alcohol in the UK rather than just the one with something oily added to it.

Have fun and glad the ATC came thru. Hope it popped, with a nudge...

    Happy WOYWW!
