Happy with the beanie. It fits really well and it only took about a week to make. With some minor tweaking, I will certainly use the pattern again. (It's 5ply, BTW, if you are interested.)
That little purple punch I found (at the shops), is exactly the same as one I mentioned ages ago which required a special punch handle to use it with and the handle broke, so all the punches that went with it were useless :( Anyway, the snowflake one was my favourite, so I snapped this new one up :)
But wait, there's more ...
Now, does two Woywwers having lunch constitute an official Woyww Function?
In a country where the next closest Woywwer is hundreds of miles away,
Sandra and I think it does.

Definitely a Woyww function.... and a very nice afternoon indeed. The camellia's are beautiful and I am going to try and paint one. Wish me luck.

I see you are enjoying a nice brew.

Have a great week,

How lucky was that afternoon when two lovely people like you and Sandra de got together. Great beanie hat, lovely tea set and delightful company.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to me earlier.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx
Beautiful beanie! I spy a stack of ATC's in the back as well. What UFO are you knitting? Diane #43
ReplyDeleteThe beanie is gorgeous - I love both the pattern and the colours - the black really pops against that background. Thanks so much for stopping by my desk earlier, I hope you have a great week,

Love that beanie! Such a happy bright color--bonus is if you get lost in a snowdrift they can find you, or at least your beanie. I think that was indeed an official WOYWW gathering! Judy #50
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a WOYWW function. What a pity we couldn't all join you. I wouldn't mind a trip down under and the tea looks perfect!!!!! Glad you both had a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteLove your Beanie, the colour is great,

....forgot to ask. Was there cake at your function?????
ReplyDeleteToo true, two WOYWWers make a Crop!! Hope you had cake and did lots of lovely crafty things :-). That beanie is fab...thank you for the link to the casting on method. Very interesting but I don't know if I'd do it. I detest the ribbing part of knitting,so anything that prolongs the agony is not good for me!!

Hi Rosa, bet you had a great time and that's what matters. Love the hat you've made it looks great. Have a good woyww and thanks for the visit, Angela xXx30
ReplyDeleteLoving the busy desk - the drink looks interesting too. Love the hat, wish I could knit sigh - on my list of things to do! Happy WOYWW
ReplyDeleteRosa, Love the knitting.
ReplyDeleteGlad you and your fellow desker Sandra are close enough to meet up. I'm sure the WOYWW badge makes it official:)
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

Your knitting is far from brainless, Rosa! I love the beanie. Such pretty colours! Thank you for your loely comment - I am feeling a lot better today although still very short on energy. Only a week to go to my next treatment so I hope I get the chance to do a few things this week.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #31
That is a lovely piece of Fair Isle knitting - though in very modern colours! I like your hat very much, Ros.
ReplyDeleteAnd how lovely that you and Sandra were able to meet up and have lunch together. All the nicer, since you live so far apart. I should appreciate my privileges, in living not-so-far from several WOYWW people.
Thanks for your visit to my blog and for the nice comment on my books. I'm enjoying these ones very much.
Have a good weekend!
