WOYWW a smashing Wednesday

And why is it a "smashing Wednesday"?
Well, for one thing, it's time for WOYWW, when all us curious crafters get to peak at desks all over the world and see what other people are up to :)
And for another, it's a quick trip to work for me and then off to have lunch with my friend, Sandra de, hooray! And for something else, I told Sofie I would show her my (as yet unused) Smash books, because she hadn't heard of them. Now, I'm the last person to follow the newest trends in the craft world, so when the Smash books first appeared, it was all a bit "ho hum". After all, I'd really rather make a book from scratch, so I wasn't much interested ... until they were On Sale! As in, less than half price. And for that sort of price, well you could justify buying them for the lovely, good quality pages, which are better than paper, but not quite card. Also they come with a fine tipped black pen and glue all-in-one. When I do get around to using them, I intend to creatively "alter" them, of course :)

And there's my latest "must have"... a set of Spectrum Noir pens. I don't have any Copics, or similar. These are my first alcohol markers and quite nice they are too.

And now, off to lunch. A rare treat :)

Where some "show and tell" happened, and a little crafty swapping too ...

It always takes a while, but I will be around to visit.
Julia has all the details.

  4. I think you'll enjoy playing with your Smash folios, since there's no right or wrong way to use them. I recently purchased a set of neutral Spectrum Noir pens, but I'm still not sure I like them that much. Glad you enjoyed your lunch with your friend, and Happy WOYWW! #37

  13. I've never heard of Smash books and I'm still not sure what they are - are they designed specifically to be altered? The dinner looks lovely and it sounds like you had a fun time - good food and crafty swaps, what more could you ask for! Thanks so much for your earlier visit, I hope you have fun with your new stash,

  14. So jealous, would have loved to gate crash lunch! I own a smash book but haven't quite got into the Smash..but I'm perfectly sure that you might be able to suggest better things to do with it - as you say, the pages are lovely smooth and weighty. My Copics are drying out from under use, so I think from now n, I must stick to pencils!
