I'm making one of those Mini Folding Wallet thingies, like Angela showed recently :) Compared to Angela's this is very, very plain. (I've just gone and looked at hers again - I will have to do another one now.) I won't go into details about how it's made, there's plenty of videos on Youtube. The odd thing about the instructions (I found) was that the folder is supposed to display 4"x 6" photos, but after following all the measuring and cutting directions, and choosing nice background papers to display said photos on, I discovered the photos totally covered the carefully chosen background papers! (So, then I chose different photos, ones that had plenty of background, so that I could crop them to fit!)
The above project was only started a few days ago and it is almost finished. What I have been busy doing is finishing a canvas for the Rubber Dance October Challenge ...
(see post below for all the details).

The folding wallet looks great! It's like a mini photo album! The finishing touches on your canvas really brought it to life! Love how it shimmers in the light! Have a wonderful week! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #22
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning autumn picture - gorgeouis colours, and I love the leaves, especially the way the embossing gives a little subtle sparkle. Just beautiful. The folding wallet is intriguing, I like your choice of colours and elegant simplicity of the decor - I personally think photos look good without too much other decoration to compete with! Hope you have a great week,

I love all the shimmer on your autumn frame, it captures fall very well indeed.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Autumn piece, RosA. Lovely colours. Like the thought of the folding wallet thingie.... well done. Hope it all gets sorted, you are happy with the photo size, and can still see the, oh-so-carefully-chosen backgrounds!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Whoo Hoo - what a great autumnal picture you have there. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the second album, I must look for the instructions for one I made a long time ago, doesn't hold much but it is ever so nice.

Hi again, RosA. The die for the boxes is a Tonic die called Lantern Box Die. It has loads of bits in it, so isn't a cheap die. Are any of them, I ask??? But we decided that we could put it down to the Christmas budget if necessary!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Hi Rosa, pleased to see you are getting on well with the Wallet Book. I'm still working on the Halloween one. I would like to take some photos of the children that visit on Halloween but we will see. They make a good album for photographs but as you know I tend to cover mine in very decorative papers so often any photos tend to take second place so I reduce the size. Those photographs of the skiers are giving me itchy feet Lol! but we are not going until January. I hope you have a good week and happy crafting, Angela x 14
ReplyDeleteMm, have this strange feeling of deja vu as I read your post, Ros.. rather think must've peeked the other night in my tired state and as almost as tired (read also late at night) now am tad confused .. :D hey! one might say that is normal :D
