WOYWW stencils, stamps, dies & midnight meanderings

Today was supposed to be an "At Home" day. You know, so I could get some things done, possibly even finished. Well, after a quick trip to the gym, an even quicker trip to the shops and a lightning quick visit to the library, I did spend the rest of the day dabbling in arty endeavours.  So, here's an early morning pic ...

A very new Altenew stamp and die set waiting to be used, and a ballet dancer stencil which I managed to cut out in the wee small hours the other night, during one of my insomnia bouts. Luckily, I was awake enough to take care with the extremely sharp cutting blade. I guess it could have ended badly.

And much later today ...

Still admiring the Altenew stamps and dies. Oh, and a new tree die which I think will be very versatile. I'm still trying to finish that (Wanderlust) recycled packaging project.  It's nowhere near finished but I've now added random pieces torn from a (copied) piece of my own artwork.

What are you doing, at your desk?  Desk watching brought to you courtesy of Julia at her Stamping Ground.

  3. Glad you had fun on your day 'off'. Sounds like you were really busy before you got to play. Isn't that the way? Your work looks interesting and colourful.

  5. Happy WOYWW. A busy day off - but glad you got some crafting time. It was lucky I did my WOYWW post yesterday, as haven't sat down in my craft room since - not even done my 'Just 15 Minutes'. Planning a quieter day tomorrow. Ali x #10

  9. WOW your day off sounds like it was a busy day. Love the desk…pages are brilliant. I was using a knife last night and thought the same thing…it could have ended badly. Hope you have a great week. Vickie #2

  10. That's a great looking tree die - I can see how versatile that would be, and I love the new stamp and die set - I hate fussy cutting so it's always great to find stamps with a matching die. The background you are creating is great, beautiful colours. Thanks so much for stopping by mine earlier - the die set I used was Tim Holtz Wildflowers. Hope you have a great week,

  11. That tree die looks fantastic - and your new stamps too! I would leave these on my desk too to admire them and roll ideas in my head on how to use them ;)
Love that mail art (?) envelope you made!

  12. The stamps look pretty good. Next catch up and I will bring my Altenew stamps for you to have a look and share. I am quite tempted to buy one of the matching dies .... saves me cutting all those little bits. Love how your cards looked last post and I think the die give them a much more finished look. Pleased with the cherries and simple is always good for me. Getting a little excited about my workshop hence packing the bag 2 weeks before!!

  13. Lovely busy and colourful desk, Rosa. The dancer die is gorgeous too. Thank you for your visit and your nice comment - so glad you like the Zengems and I hope you do give them a try - they are really fun and have a real wow factor! This evening I've been drawing some more, this time using my new iPad, and they've come out great! It's a pleasure to use.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  15. Thanks for your return visit, Rosa - and what a great job you have done, cutting the dancer by hand! Sorry to hear about the insomnia... I always stay up really late - it's now 1 a.m. and the night is still young!!

  16. Oooh, that must be your brown paper bag project! Can't wait to see it finished! I find I have very little patience to do mundane stuff, like shopping/gym etc when I'm in arting mode. I sometimes even skip my morning walk, but I'm just too impatient to get started with my projects. Thanks for popping in earlier! Your weekend must be coming to a close, so I'll say have fun next week! zsuzsa #22
