a staged production

... or a production stage?
Did you see the (cardboard) biscuit box the other day? It's just below. I thought maybe you'd like to see some in-between stages before it's finished, and it will be, any day now :)

Put the "rusty" bits through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.

Do some die cutting. See, using my new dies.
Don't waste the scraps, punch some leaves out.
Have a cup of tea.

Keep using those new dies! Aren't they "deer" little critters?  :)

Gluing the various bits on to my recycled biscuit box.

Now, can you see the corner I'm painting myself into? It was obvious a while ago, but I couldn't be bothered to work out a plan at that stage, so now I will have to use some sort of technique,
not unlike putting a ship In a bottle!

WOYWW oil painting - maybe

I have been playing with my Shiva Paintstiks
which are oil paints in stick form. I am really liking them!

Some have already been put through the Cuttlebug, top left.
I don't think you can see the lovely iridescent effect, can you?
So, here is a close up ...

Now, I'm off to visit some other desks courtesy of Julia's Stamping Ground.
Maybe I will see you there.

Defeating the UFOs

I have a cunning plan to eliminate all UFOs. (You know, UnFinished Objects). In a never-ending attempt to tidy, sort, organise, rearrange and generally cull some of the "stuff/stash" which surrounds me, here begins a serious attempt to finish those projects which somehow ended up in the unfinished basket, not the "too hard basket". These projects were started and then put aside because I had a "better idea" or possibly I got distracted by something shiny ...

So, two days ago ...

and today ...

WOYWW doing my bit for recycling

That's my spin take on it anyway. Maybe it's a bit OCD ... you be the judge.
Let's just collect as much reusable card as you possibly can, you know, from packaging, etc ... see top left hand in pic, which is just the tip of the iceberg. And save it all in recycled (naturally), cereal boxes, and when there is so much of it you are in fear of being swamped  get out your trusty Cuttlebug and start cutting out ... very therapeutic ...

It does take a while to whittle down that collected pile, but it sure feels good when you do!

If that doesn't excite you, maybe yesterday's retail therapy will ...

Why am I showing you random photos of stuff on my workdesk?
All will be revealed by Julia who doesn't actually have a real workdesk today but still we all love to visit her on Wednesday, photo or not, just to find out what is happening in her little corner of the world.
Catch you soon.
