The idea that this should be "The Year of Not Buying Lots of Stash" (to add to the already vast accumulation), has flown out the window. Due to various circumstances, there is very little creativity happening at the moment ...
Hopefully, I can finish that knitting this winter. It's perfectly possible. And there's a new pattern off to the right that I would like to try. It uses lace weight 2 ply, and I just happen to have plenty of that ... in the wool stash!
Anyway, you like to have a sticky beak at new stuff, right? Here 'tis ...
L-R: Modern Moroccan and fence dies, snowflake stamp and large tree background stamp (from Gill's Crafty Cards). TH stencil, snowflake stencil (which looks too delicate to actually use), Happy Birthday die ("enabled" by Julia), Spellbinders border dies ("enabled" by Shazsilverwolf) (from Bizzy Bec's)
L-R: Glimmer Chips and skating scene die - Christmas in July goodies, from my friend!
Tree stencil, Gorjuss stamp and Brilliance Inks ("enabled" by Shaz in Oz).
Now, if only I could find time to play with all of the above!
I am hoping to visit as many woyww desks as possible, but I may not get there for a few days. You can visit them too. We will all be linked up with Julia at her Stamping Ground.
I could never stick to a "no stash" ban.. so little will power, so many great things out there I "must have" ... love the happy birthday die.,and indeed most of your haul! Hope you get to play soon. Helen 5
ReplyDeleteWe've all said the same Rosa about using our stash up before buying anymore craft items. Have fun using all you fab new goodies.

oo yummy stah - Love the background die and the stencils ( my new love). Have a great week and fun with your new stash! Soojay 27
ReplyDeleteI'm always trying not to buy more stash and have been just limiting my purchases to replace things I run out of. Oh wait, I did buy some pretty papers...and then there was that new glue. Ok, never mind. Maybe I've not been as good as I thought!

Lovely new stash but I like the knitting best of course! x Jo #32
ReplyDeleteHowever much you promise yourself not to buy anything new (I know from experience) there is always something that finds its way to your desk.... I have the 'advantage' that I live in an area where they don't sell craft stuff, so everything has to come from abroad, which limits my buying urges.
ReplyDeleteI love the knitting you are doing (with snowflakes) and the new pattern looks very flimsy. Is it going to be a shawl? Pretty and difficult (or pretty difficult!) it looks to me.
have a good week,
Lisca#24
But I do like all of your new stuff.
Fabulous knitting... you must have a lovely collection of knitted beanies. Love all your stash and I had actually forgotten that I just ordered some dies and I wasn't going to buy stuff!!! Hope you had a great time skiing? sandra de #37
ReplyDeleteAh so new stash has shaken over eh, Ros???
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought I was bad... Hehe...
So Gills crafty corner and Bizzy Becs helped out, good time to have bought them before the dollar plummeted any further I say, as rather think it may do..
Hate to be negative but things are very unstable everywhere in money mikes and yes do watch it.. Have done for years, it affects craft so why not??? :D
Happy WOYWW and looking forward to see your new creations like the fence die too, have often wondered if would use one... Oh an love the tree image too, it looks great.
Mm have waged one particular happy birthday die for yonks and certainly owing be getting it now. What a rambling comment this is... ;)

Scuse all the typos just reading it.. Should've gone to bed!! :( sorry.
ReplyDeleteHi RosA, lolled a lot at your 'naming and shaming' of us enablers! Well, I can tell you that you've just got revenge, as I've spent a couple of nights looking for a nice 'Happy Birthday' die, and that one fits the bill perfectly. Aren't we terrible? lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xx
ReplyDeleteHi Rosa, I do try not to buy new stuff but it's so hard. Maybe in future we should all hide new stuff so we don't tempt anyone Lol! Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 29
ReplyDeleteHi RosA, just so you know, I've just gone and ordered that die, and another one too, lol. xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely stash, I love the colours. That knitting looks promising, but it´s more likely you get it finished, when it is cold...

Oh I loved looking at your new stash. I made the same pledge at the beginning of the year but just can't help getting new stuff. But I'm working hard at using up stuff I've had for ages too. Knitting with 2ply, now that's impressive. Look forward to seeing what you make. Have a lovely week. Barb#33 x
ReplyDeleteHi Ros, your knitting is looking wonderful, love the fancy stitch pattern. And what a great stash of new bits... I have some Brilliance inks that I think have seen their best days, I do like working with them though but it's been a while, must check them out. Have a fab week Cheers RobynO#15

Hi RosA, I forgot to say, you can also thank ShazinOz for indirectly enabling you with the curved border dies! I saw some cards she had used it on, so she enabled me first, lol! xxxx
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely new stash! There are lots of fun things I would like to play with too. I am doing very well with limited buying. Most of things I have gotten are A Muse Studio, which I sell so I sort of "need" to buy the new stuff to use in workshops to get others to "have to" buy it. I did get a few DeNami stamps, some southwest dies and a couple of things for organization. Most of these were well thought out so I would say they are stellar purchases. The southwest dies were impulsive and turning out to not be as fun as I thought. It is quite eye opening. About your lack of time... I hear you! I so hear you. My time to play is so small! It makes me sad and sometimes even crazy. I hope you can squeak out some time to play because I think it is good for your mental health. Thx for the visit earlier and I sent you an email telling you the secret contents of the this, that, and the other drawers. LOL! Judy #50
ReplyDeleteWell I hope you can find time and that circumstances change for the better in that respect!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit chuffed that you felt enabled by me...it really is a great die. I've used just the 'happy' several times too, still love it!
